Strange Banana

Sticking with the topic of iconography, walking down the street at midday today I passed this graffiti banana. Normally not really remarkable. But then I thought I remembered seeing a similar one painted on a building in Berlin last fall. Just checked my photo collection and indeed, I did.

Wondering who is wandering around german cities painting bananas on the walls. And more importantly, why???? What is the significance? Secret code to mark the buildings? Strange...

Obviously the same artist, well really it looks like a template....the same one.
