Woke up in a horrible mood to discover the eye infection from two months ago is BACK - in the other eye. So I seem to be falling apart at the seams. Unless the eye infection is related to the other illness, in which case things are just getting worse there, not better.
But, was reading email, blogs, etc. this morning and got a call from Amar via Skype, which is just an incredibly amazing application (he called from a windows mobile phone i think, not an iphone) and really all the telco operators have a right to be scared. They will continue to lose a hell of a lot of money if they don't change their business models. So this morning, got to chat with a good friend who made me laugh at least twice, who is thousands of miles away...for free. Nice.
There are still some hiccups with the app - like you have to have it actively open in order to receive a call. However, there are already some work-arounds for this situation as well. Another annoyance is that there is no video phoning feature - because the iphone camera is on the back of the phone, and because...there is no damn video on the iphone yet...i am wondering if the other mobile app versions have video? Anyone know? Anyway, am still in pjs and not looking especially wonderful with red eye, so i guess I would have refused a video call.
Getting out of the house now for some hours to try and forget that I am sick and grumpy.
